Fenwick First Flush
Our house green — spring-picked, bright and faintly grassy, with a clean sweetness that lingers. Steeped at 75°C.
Single-origin · Poured to order
Marrowfen Leaf is a nine-seat tea shop on Fenwick Row. We weigh every leaf at the counter, brew it at the temperature it deserves, and pour it into a cup you're welcome to keep refilling for as long as you like.
Open daily, 9am – 6pm · Last pot at 5:30
Our Story
In 2017, Ines Marrowfen came home from a year of tea gardens with a suitcase full of unmarked paper packets and no plan for them. She started pouring cups for neighbours on Saturday mornings — a folding table, a kettle, a set of borrowed scales — and the table got longer every week until it became a shop.
We still buy in small lots, direct from growers and co-operatives wherever we can, and we still weigh every serving by hand. Nothing here is pre-blended to hide a mediocre leaf. If a tea is on the shelf, it's because we drank it and couldn't stop.
Visit
We don't take walk-in bookings for single pots — just come in. The tasting room is by reservation only.
Reserve a Seat
Thursday to Saturday we close the shop and set the long table for a guided tasting — six teas, brewed properly, with notes and a little something to eat alongside.
